How we look after your information.

Who we are. Accountants for Dentists ("we", "us"), a trading style of Buzz Accounting Ltd (registered in England and Wales, Company No. 15182358), operates accountantsfordentists.co.uk. Contact: hello@accountantsfordentists.co.uk.

We are the data controller for the personal information described below. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It covers the website only — clients receive separate terms covering the information we hold to provide accountancy services.

What we collect

We do not ask for, and you should not send us through this website, any information about your health, your patients, or your financial account credentials.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions: Netlify hosts the website and processes form submissions; Brevo manages our mailing list and sends the newsletter; Google Analytics provides website usage statistics, and only ever receives anything if you have consented. Some of these providers are based outside the UK, in which case transfers are covered by the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to two years, so that we have the context if you come back to us, and then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain a minimal suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake. Where you become a client, records are retained for the periods required by law and by our professional obligations — generally at least six years after the relationship ends. Analytics data is retained on Google's standard retention settings.

Keeping it secure

The site is served over HTTPS throughout. Access to enquiry and client information is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and is protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever occurred that was likely to affect your rights we would report it to the ICO and tell you, as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. Email hello@accountantsfordentists.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies & analytics

This site sets no marketing cookies and no advertising trackers. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — but only with your consent: no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google unless you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Declining, or simply ignoring the banner, leaves the site fully functional; every calculator, guide and form works exactly the same either way. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change or revoke it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. A small number of strictly necessary items are used to make forms and spam protection work, and these do not require consent.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page. This version was last updated in August 2026.
